Research-grade methods, engineered into software.
At Turnavi, we step in at the critical boundary where structures face the sea. Grounded in computational mechanics, we master the motion, vibration, and acoustics of ships and offshore platforms, and bring this expertise to the field through our engineering services and simulation platform, NVS.
Our foundation
Born in academia. Proven in the field.
Turnavi's roots lie in doctoral research at Istanbul Technical University's (İTÜ) Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. Now based at İTÜ ARI Teknokent, we forged our core numerical methods in computational mechanics through rigorous peer-reviewed research and TÜBİTAK-supported projects. NVS is the culmination of that work: a commercial platform with deep academic roots. Today it sits among the international solvers in a MARSTRUCT Virtual Institute and ISSC benchmark on wave-induced motions and loads, one of the field's most exacting comparative studies, with full results headed for publication.
Why Turnavi
Where academic depth meets practical engineering.
Today's simulation market is run by software houses detached from the field, while advanced academic methods stay locked in the lab. Turnavi was built at the very heart of engineering to close that gap.
Everything is now on solid ground: mature methods, a platform in active use, and a team that has proven its theory in practice. Because critical engineering leaves no room for compromise.
What we do
One platform, and the engineering behind it.
NVS (NVSolve) — our simulation platform
NVS is our flagship: a modular simulation environment for the motion, vibration and acoustics of structures in water. It delivers solutions across the board, from ships to offshore structures, and from subsea technologies to renewable energy platforms. It grows around the problem in front of you, taking on purpose-built modules for the needs off-the-shelf tools leave untouched. Specialized add-ons, like the TVC torsional-vibration module, run integrated with NVS or as standalone modules. And our isogeometric core, bringing mesh-free simulation directly into the CAD environment, is on the way.
Where we work
Different sectors. The same physics.
Defense, ships, offshore structures and renewable energy: the sector changes, but the motion, vibration and acoustics that decide a structure's performance do not.
Let's tackle the obstacle in front of you.
Whether you're weighing NVS, scoping a custom analysis, or exploring a research partnership, reach out and we'll take it from there.
